Blog 10- Final Farewell

This posting will last essay in this class.

Frankly, the class was little bit difficult for me, but studying was really helpful to improve my writing. As you know, writing is also important skill as speaking to foreginers. It is good opportunity to close to English. ah.. Englihs is not far from me I think..  Any way, I really appriciate for learning wiriting.

Blog 9- summary & Response/ Citation

“South Korean’s marine troops mistakenly shoot at passenger air plan.”

  Soldiers on Gyo-dong Island, fired their k-2 rifles at the air plan for about 10 minutes. At that time the passenger jet toward Incheon International Airport. In the plan 119 passengers and flight crew members from China. According to the military source, when they discover the plan, it was not usual approaching. The situation seems to a flight from the North Korea air force, so they shot at it. However, an officer of the air line company said that we are sure that our plans have never flown off the course. Fortunately, nobody has injured from the fire. After the accident, ‘the marine troops will have educating about how to identify passenger jet and air force.’ a ministry officer said.

It was really terrible mistaking accident and  the military have to embarrass themselves. On the other hand, the accident shows the quick military response to the North Korean attack. Do you remember the bombardment of Yeonpyeong was an artillery engagement between the North Korean military and South Korean in last year? At that time, 4 people were dead in the South Korea and 70 percent of the island's forests and fields were burn by the bombardment. According to media, one of the military faults that the military troops were shelled 16 minute later, they attack the North Korean military. The response was really delayed. After the accident, the military response is getting fast. It have to become more quick and exactly.



Blog 8- Mr Pizza VS Domino's Pizza

    

There are two popular pizza chain shops that have made various and tasty pizzas. Mr Pizza and Domino’s Pizza both have been famous and new trend of Western food in Korea. Other pizza restaurants have fallowed their pizza recipes. And they have my favourite pizzas are ‘Shrimp Gold’ and ‘Shrimps’.

Even they have some similarities; Mr Pizza and Domino’s Pizza also have some differences. In Mr Pizza, there are good places to eat pizzas and have chat with friends and family, because of having comfortable sofas, tables and modern interiors. Moreover, there are famous menu for women is ‘Salad Bar’. On the other hand, Domino’s pizza shops offer only delivery service which is fast and kind. However, that is a reason why Domino’s Pizza cannot popular than Mr Pizza in Korea. 

Both of Pizza shops I love, but if I have to choose and order one shop, I will take domino’s Pizza. There are some reasons. First is the price, most of pizzas of Domino’s are cheaper than Mr Pizza, even though they are similar recipe. And I generally like to eat a pizza with some people at home which is a comfy and quiet place.



Boge 7- Seoul and Auckland

  In 2008, I live the biggest city in New Zealand. It is Auckland that I was in for a year to learn English. It was unforgettable memory to me until now. However, in recent I move my home alone to Seoul which is nearby school. It is good to go famous places in Seoul. Both of places are the most famous and largest cities in each country, but there are quite different things between Seoul and Auckland that I experienced.

 
  In Seoul, there are four seasons which make beautiful scenery of nature, but in summer it is extremely hot and humid mixed with rain. It makes people unhappy and stressful. And in winter, it is freezing with snow. On the other hand, weather is very changeable in Auckland. For example, sometimes in the morning it is strongly rainy, but during a day is sunny with rainbow. After sunset, it is cold. Therefore people say that one day has four seasons in New Zealand. I used to bring outer because of the changeable weather. 

  Moreover, two cities have different scenery. Seoul, it is one of the highest population cities in the world, so there are great deals of people, cars and high scraper buildings. It is pretty modern city which is developed fast. When I live in Seoul, everything is really convenient. In contrast, Auckland is low population city and there are few high buildings in the downtown. Instead of, there are fresh air, giant trees and wide green field with volcano. It is typical landscape which I felt I was in an Alice in Wonderland. That is why Peter Jackson made the film ‘Load of the ring’ in New Zealand.

  In life style, people work hard for over than 8 hours a day for job in Seoul. Therefore, they are very stressful and drink too much alcohol at the night. Many people do not have their hobbies and go to the cinema or go shopping to spend weekends. I think working too many hours may make them fast to do other things. On the other hand, Kiwis (who live in NZ) work for about 6 hours a day, so they have plenty of time to do what they want. When I live there I was surprised, because many Kiwis have another job such as artiest and can play a musical instrument.

  So far, I never forget the memory of living in New Zealand and I am also satisfied with life in Seoul. Both of cities are attractive to me, Seoul is beautiful and modern city which is convenient to live. And in Auckland, there are unique view and peaceful life style which people love to there.

Blog 6- Students study English abroad (opposite)

It has commons for Korean students that go overseas to learn English. Even though it is huge financial coast, every year, more than 27 thousand of Korean students go to foreign country to study. However, there are serious social problems which have already well known through the media. First, it can make family troubles, especially relationship between fathers who are called ‘Goose Father’ and other family members. Goose Fathers stay alone in Korea to work hard to send money to their family who study in foreign country. Goose Father may become easily lonely because they spent for a long time without their family’. Do you think it is good education for their children without their father’s care? Moreover studying abroad is huge financial coast, so it can be pressure to their family. It is not just family’s financial problems. There is bed financial impact on Korean economy, because if many families send their children to study abroad, a great deal of money leaves Korea to support foreign countries.

Even though it can make these problems, some people think studying English in the foreign countries is better chance for students, because students can use English everyday in an English-speaking environment.  It may the most important reason why they choose English countries. However, in Korea, there are also lots of high quality English schools and English-speaking environment such as English cafe and camp things. They can help students to develop their English fluently. In conclusion, it may clear that student should study English in their own country. If you are confident and hard working, you can learn English anywhere including your home country.

Blog 5- Students study English abroad.

Students study English abroad.

  Recently the importance of English in the global society has increased, so many Korean students go abroad to learn English. Even though it is huge financial coast, they choose to study in English countries, because it is a better way for them to learn English. Some people think that it is waste of money, because there are a lot of English schools in Korea, so students can study English with family’s care. In addition, it may happen that students can be easily exposed to the danger such as drugs and alcohol. However, it is quite negative view, and students can control themselves. If you also look on the bright side, you can realise that it is good chance for students. I am going to write about why students should study English in the foreign countries. There are three reasons why this is good idea. The first and most important reason is students can easily and fluently learn English abroad, because they can use it every day in an English-speaking environment. Moreover, it is better for their personal development. While they are studying abroad, they often have a chance to manage their own financial costs and housework without their family’s support. Another reason is that students can learn about new cultures through their overseas friends and teachers. They are able to learn how to understand other cultures and also how to socialise with foreigners. Consequently, it is evident that learning English abroad is better choice for students.

Blog 3- Visiting Rotorua and Tapou in New Zealand

When I stayed in New Zealand, I and my friend who is Chinese girl visited Rotorua and Tapou are famous for natural parks, mud pool, and hot springs. In addition, there are many activities, especially Bunge jump is the most popular one. I had the plan to try it, was quite courageous challenge to me.

Throughout the trip, the season was winter there,
so most of days were very cold and rainy.

I always put on warm clothes.

First day, we went to Waio Tapu, we looked around the mud pool and volcanic valleys. There were interesting names, for example Devil’s Home and Devil’s ink Pots were the funniest. And they were steaming and had pretty colors. We took photos a lot.

At that time, we met Japanese girl, who was travelling alone for 1 year.
She got brown hair and slim. She was wearing mountain clothes with big backpack,
so her look was like an explorer.

After visiting Waio Tapu, I and my friend went back to our accommodation was Back Packers.  

And Then we visit to hot springs to try spa, it was quite nice.
In the one room, only I and my friend use there for 30 minutes.
We were relaxed and relieved our stress.

Next day, we accidently met the Japanese girl at the place for Bunge jump which was located on the middle of the Waikato River.
We could see the full view of the landscape on the extremely high top of the river.
I liked to admire the scenery and draw fresh air.

And it was really chilly and windy, so just few people were there. At that time, some young Kiwis who were preparing Bunge jump.
As soon as finished the countdown ‘3.2.1 Bunge!’ …they jumped!

I thought I cannot it alone, when I watched them and saw the bottom, so I and the Japanese girl decided to try it together.
When I and she were on the top, I was particularly frightened. I can make sure that nobody can try it easily at the first time.
Anyway we failed the first jumping, after the second countdown, we bunged! I felt that I was going to die really. There was only I can do is screaming.

So far it was still unforgettable memory to me, and I hope one day I go there again with my family.

Blog 4- 'The car accident'

I never forget the memory is really frightening to me.

The story is about the car accident in the New Zealand.

I clearly remember it. The time was nearly 9 p.m.

I was napping at home, unexpectedly my friend phoned to me to ask going to the party in the school.

I decided to go out with him, and then we were on way to go there.

When we were crossing the road(cross walk), suddenly the black car sped toward me.

The car hit on my left in an instant, and immediately my face was landed on the road first.

My face and legs were bruising and swelling, especially my nose was spilling much blood for over than 1 hours.

It was terrible. I had to overcome the frightening time alone in the foreign country.

Since then, I used to be afraid of vehicle things. If they pass by me very closely, I get goose bumps.

The car accident has gave me horrible memory.

Writing Essay 1

Do you know Steve Jobs?

He is a CEO of Apple, and he is one of the most popular celebrities in the world. Actually I do not like his life style, personality and fashion style. They are only for hard working. However I am interested in design of Apple because I am studying Industrial Design. In this essay, I am going to try to focus on his abilities of design. And there are 3 reasons why I admire him.

First of them, he has opened new world in design. Nobody can explain about nowadays design without Apple. Samsung has acutely realized that good design can make the best company, because of Apple. He did it.

Secondly, I respect his design philosophy. He considered that how users are easy to use IT products were using complicated. He was hardly trying to design more simple process and make Apple’s users special. Therefore he has made the most attractive products of IT.

Finally, he is very good at presentation is important skill to designer. When I saw his presentation for ipad from Youtude, I surprised, it was like small magic show. I wanted to improve my presentation skil like him.

I like to cook, especially Korean food. Of course I like eating too.

And... I like to watch DVD in my room. It is really comfortable.

to  children are 5~7years old.
